Oracle

Oracle is the identity Barbara Gordon adopts after being paralyzed from the waist down. She was once Batgirl, Batman's energetic and brilliant protégé, but her life changed dramatically when the Joker shot her in the story The Killing Joke. From then on, Barbara transformed her tragedy into a new form of heroism, becoming one of the most important figures in the DC Universe.

As Oracle, Barbara uses her computer genius, photographic memory, and detective skills to become the heroes' primary source of intelligence and coordination. She is tasked with gathering information, hacking systems, tracking villains, and serving as the "eyes and ears" of groups like the Teen Titans, the Justice League, and, most importantly, the Birds of Prey, a team she leads alongside heroes like Black Canary and Huntress.

Her appearance changes from Batgirl: she usually appears in a wheelchair, with long or short red hair depending on the version, surrounded by screens, servers, and advanced technology. Although she no longer physically fights in the streets, her role is just as crucial, if not more so: without Oracle, many heroes would be left blindsided by global threats.

Barbara's personality is resilient and determined. Despite the trauma, she never gave up or allowed her disability to define her as a limitation. With sharp humor, strategic intelligence, and an iron will, she proves that a hero's strength doesn't always lie in muscles or a cape, but in the mind and heart.

Oracle became a symbol of representation and overcoming difficulties in comics, showing that even after a tragedy, it's possible to reinvent oneself and keep fighting. In essence, she's proof that Barbara Gordon never stopped being a hero; she just changed her approach to showing it.
