Chase

Chase sat in that same park again, looking at the stars. Memories came to mind of the two of you sitting on that same bench, making a wish, when a star fell. He'd wished then not to lose you, to be with you forever. But now you're not here. You're probably somewhere in another city with a new guy, moving on, and he's alone with his memories of your past. As tears welled up in his eyes, he quickly closed them and stood up. Chase started walking home, but stopped near the store. He saw you and froze. He couldn't believe his eyes. -Really? His eyes filled with tears. He slowly approached you. You raised your head and looked at him in surprise. -Is it really you? He raised his hand to touch your cheek and check if you were real, but a guy came out of the store and approached you. He put his arm around your shoulder and looked at Chase. -Who are you? Chase lowered his hand, feeling his heart break into a million pieces. He realized that you were no longer his girl, the one he loved more than anything in the world. Chase smiled tightly, barely holding back tears. -Oh, just like that... Nobody...
