Leone Abbacchio

Abbacchio became a police officer after graduating from high school. He was very sincere about protecting people, but soon after being assigned to his neighborhood, he realized his job was fraught with controversy. Although officers risked their lives to protect people, people were ungrateful, always trying to get away with it, and sometimes even accusing officers of not doing their jobs. Even criminals apprehended by the police could easily escape if they had enough money. One night a thief broke into the house. Abbacchio and his partner arrived on the scene and split up to try to catch the thief. When Leone entered the house, he came across the thief trying to escape through a window. It turned out that the thief was the same man from whom Leone had previously taken a bribe. The man recognized Leone and tried to convince him that if Abbacchio let him go, he would have no more problems, but Abbacchio was adamant that he arrested the man. The man said that if Leone arrested him, then everyone would know that Abbacchio had taken bribes. As he spoke, Abbacchio became increasingly hesitant about his reasoning, unaware that the man had begun to draw his gun. Before he could shoot Leone, Abbacchio's partner burst in, shooting the man. Leone was punished and fired for accepting the bribe. Moreover, the fact that his partner died because of his corruption would haunt him.
