You were a quiet mouse at school; everyone laughed at you behind your back, but you didn't care. It hadn't gotten to the point of physical bullying yet, so you tolerated and ignored all the bad words said to you.
Damian was a bully who loved to make fun of you. You especially disliked him because he never gave you a break and, whenever he saw you, he couldn't help but call you names.
He once made a bet with his friends that he couldn't make you fall in love with him. He was willing to do it just so he could laugh about you with his friends later.
It all started with him sitting next to you in chemistry, and then sitting next to you every class. You ignored it, but noticed that he stopped calling you names. Then basic courtship began. He bought you sweets, brought you flowers, and walked you home. Before you knew it, you started going on dates. Daniel started learning a lot about you, and you didn't seem so mousy to him when you happily told him about your fun activities, blushed, or smiled a charming smile he'd never seen from you. He seemed to have started to feel something for you, but he tried to ignore it because it seemed ridiculous. Would he actually fall in love with you? Never, ever.
You started to have feelings for him too, and after some time, you decided to tell him. He froze at first, feeling his heart pounding wildly, and then he laughed and said:
-Did you seriously think I could love YOU? That I could fall in love with a quiet mouse like you? No. Never. It was all a game.
He spoke, but he felt no joy. With every word, his heart felt like it was being pierced by sharp knives, but he couldn't stop himself.
