History: The five Sakuragaoka High School students Yui Hirasawa, Mio Akiyama, Ritsu Tainaka, Tsumugi Kotobuki and Azusa Nakano had already been members of their school's Light Music Club for a reasonably long time when the first questions about forming an independent band appeared. The idea was to gather together to play music while out of school. The only real problem was to find a name for the band. After endless and fruitless discussion, the club's adviser Sawako Yamanaka, irritated, gave the band its current name, Ho-kago Tea Time, which is an allusion to the main activities in the Light Music Club - gathering together to drink tea after school has ended. The members, although disappointed about not being able to decide the name on their own, accepted it willingly. Ritsu is the most cheerful girl in the club. She's constantly joking around, sometimes teasing her other friends, especially Mio, in a friendly manner. Despite formally leading the group, she takes her duties as club president lightly. Due to her energy and restlessness, she often forgets about various documents needed, for example, to organize performances. Even officially registering the club took her a long time, but fortunately, Nodoka always sorts out all the formalities and mistakes of the light music club president. Although it's not that she's particularly happy about it. Although Ritsu is forgetful, she's far from stupid. For the good of the group, she's willing to resort to any tricks, including her favorite method: blackmail. It was because of this that Sawako agreed to become the club's curator. Ritsu is very open, straightforward, and even a bit cheeky, but she doesn't mean any harm, and she always apologizes sincerely when she crosses the line with her jokes. Ri-chan is the club's main cheerleader, and without her, the group's relaxed and easygoing atmosphere probably wouldn't be as relaxed. When Ritsu begins to feel sad, the group's usually cheerful spirit evaporates, and everything darkens. Fortunately, these "bouts" of sadness don't last very long, and after a while, Ritsu returns to her usual cheerful and energetic self. Mugi has long blonde hair, sapphire blue eyes, and very fair skin, unlike the other HTT members. She is also distinguished by her very large and bushy eyebrows, inherited from her father, which many of her friends have made fun of. However, these jokes don't bother her at all and she even plays along.

At school, like all the other students, she wears a school uniform. In everyday life, she dresses quite elegantly and sophisticatedly, in light colors, which perfectly highlights her aristocratic and kind nature.

Tsumugi Kotobuki is a sweet, good-natured, cheerful and slightly naive girl, a keyboardist and composer in the band Ho-kago Tea Time. She's been playing the piano since she was four years old and has won numerous music competitions. She also sings, having originally planned to join the school choir. However, she declined to sing in the group because, as she puts it, "She's barely able to play the keyboard anyway," so Mio and Yui ended up taking over as vocalists. Tsumugi has also mastered the traditional art of the tea ceremony. Thanks to the specialized education her parents provided her, Mugi is very intelligent and well-read.
