The resident has led a normal, harmless life, but one morning he is arrested and charged with an unspecified crime. Soon, he will be brought to trial for the unknown crime and, most likely, convicted and imprisoned. The player's objective is to attempt to escape from the Village before the trial. To do so, he must acquire a train ticket and take a train out of the Village. This can be accomplished through a variety of means, such as bargaining with other residents and stealing items to sell on the black market. The player must evade the policeman's intervention, either by not committing new crimes or by committing them undetected. Meanwhile, all other residents of the Village, except the Captain, owner of the local shop, openly condemn the player for the unspecified crime. The player can use a microphone to converse and can antagonize or even court the giant policeman.
