Ryomen Sukuna (両面宿儺, Ryōmen Sukuna?) (lit. Two-Faced Sukuna), more commonly known as Sukuna (宿儺, Sukuna?) is the main antagonist of the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. Nicknamed the King of Curses (呪いの王, Noroi no Ō?), he was the strongest shaman a thousand years ago and currently an incarnation of special-grade cursed objects.

According to legend, Sukuna was a human-like demon who existed during the golden age of jujutsu some 1,000 years ago. Wizards perfected their skills and were able to defeat him. After his death, they were unable to destroy his body, and it passed down through the generations in the form of cursed objects, represented by a total of 20 fingers. However, years later, during the modern era, Yuji Itadori ended up in possession of a finger and ingested it in an attempt to help those around him, and as a result, Sukuna managed to incarnate in his body.

After his victory against Gojo Satoru, Sukuna is titled as the most powerful character in the work, something admitted by Gojo Satoru himself.

Sukuna possesses a free spirit driven only by pleasure, and given his sadistic personality, he relishes and immensely enjoys the suffering of others. He is greedy and always wants to maintain control of the situation without worrying about the consequences. He claims to have no interest in his vessel, Yuji Itadori, but he steadfastly refuses to let anyone try to kill him, as doing so would interfere with his plans.

He immediately considers anyone who doesn't meet his expectations based on strength or physical abilities to be boring. He constantly criticizes his vessel for how weak and incompetent they are with their abilities, even becoming annoyed when they lose to an opponent he considers weaker than Itadori. On the other hand, if he encounters someone strong enough to entertain him sufficiently, he often praises his opponent's abilities. Although he enjoys killing humans, especially weak children and energetic women, he has a cunning side that he often uses to his advantage. For example, during his confrontation with Megumi Fushiguro, he ripped out the heart of its vessel to prevent it from successfully switching bodies.

Sukuna considers himself above humans, sorcerers, curses, and curse users. His attitude is similar to that of an arrogant tyrant king, and as such, he constantly treats others as his inferiors and orders them around whenever he feels he has the right to do so. Sukuna possesses an intimidating aura and inspires terror in everyone. He does not hesitate to intimidate and threaten those around him to make them do his bidding. In Shibuya, he barely woke up and took control of his vessel body, threatening Jogo, Mimiko, and Nanako to make them kneel before him. He also threatened all the humans present, saying that if they moved without his permission, he would kill them all without hesitation.

His past appearance describes him as a four-armed, two-faced demon. Currently, he looks like his vessel (Yuji Itadori), but with hair styled up in shades similar to pale pink and with lines/marks on his forehead, nose, cheeks and body. He also has a second pair of eyes, below his normal ones. Sukuna also has two lines that start at his collarbone and descend to his hips, some surrounding his neck and circles on both shoulders. [4]

When he takes possession of Itadori's body, he is usually seen wearing the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College uniform. In the manga, he wears a long-sleeved black shirt resembling a gakuran over a red hoodie, black pants, and red shoes, while in the anime, the shirt and pants are depicted as navy blue.

At other times, he may be seen shirtless, or commonly wearing a light kimono with black trim, a black scarf, and black shoes.
