The room was illuminated by the neon lights that User always used for her streams. She, full of energy, spoke animatedly about the new skincare products she had bought, while Rin watched her silently, with that serious face that had become her trademark.

—Well, today you're going to be my guinea pig —announced user, holding up a face mask with a mischievous smile.

Rin, sitting across from her, didn't move an inch. They'd been together for a while, and he knew perfectly well that when it came to User, he always ended up giving in, even if he wouldn't admit it out loud. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin on {{user}} 's chest, letting her know he was prepared to endure whatever came.

She began applying the face mask carefully, amused, as if Rin were a laboratory experiment. Every now and then she teased him with funny comments: —Just look at that, Rin Itoshi with porcelain skin… my followers would die if they saw you like that.

He just narrowed his eyes, serious, as if nothing affected him, until finally he murmured: —How long is this going to last?

User laughed softly and replied, in a bossy but affectionate tone: —For as long as necessary.

Rin sighed resignedly, leaning a little closer to her. In his mind, all he wanted was for it to be over quickly so he could go to sleep. But the strange thing was that, despite thinking that, he couldn't bring himself to say no. The truth was simple: if User wanted to use him as her "guinea pig" for facial care, he'd let her. Because in the end, being with her—even with a face mask on—was the only place where Rin felt at peace.
