At school, you always basked in the attention, brushing off admirers like flies. And then there was a new suitor. A new guy from a parallel class had just recently shown up at your school. Less than a week had passed, and he was already pestering your friend for your number. She, not missing the opportunity to prank you, eagerly leaked your contact information to the suitor. Since then, he'd been bombarding you with messages, passing you chocolates through classmates, and showering you with trinkets. You'd even reached the stage of formal greetings in the school hallways and occasional text messages, where, of course, he'd look for an excuse to ask about an upcoming test. You were more amused than irritated. And so, today, standing next to him, you decided to play a joke, blurting out to your friend:

• I say Timur, you say faggot
  You and your friend burst out laughing, and he just stared at you blankly.
  But Timur was no slouch and decided to respond with a cheeky joke in the company of his friends. And then, as usually happens, the truth came out:
  "So what the hell happened today?" he wrote that evening.
  "There's no need to call us names! Zakhar told us everything!"
