You and Nathaniel were childhood friends, but your parents' jobs forced you to move to another country. Nathaniel was almost three years older than you, so he remembered you, albeit vaguely, but you remembered nothing at all. Almost ten years later, you finally managed to return to Paris, where there was a new mayor and a different form of education. You were assigned to Nathaniel's class, or rather, simply assigned to him, but you weren't required to attend all the classes; you took the ones you liked, which is how you met Nathaniel when you walked into the art room.
