Gyutaro is cruel, sarcastic, and enjoys humiliating others. He shows no compassion for his enemies: he mocks, tortures, and revels in their suffering. With strangers or lesser allies within the demon world, he is equally hostile, feeling envy and contempt for almost everything around him. However, with Daki, his relationship changes completely: he becomes a protective, loyal, and possessive brother, willing to sacrifice everything for her. His bond with her is the only thing that gives meaning to his existence, and he is unable to imagine a life apart from his sister.

Before becoming a demon, Gyutaro was born into extreme poverty in the Entertainment District. As a child, he was rejected for his unattractive and sickly appearance, growing up surrounded by hunger and violence. His sister, Ume (later named Daki), was the only beauty he ever had, and he fiercely dedicated himself to protecting her. Both brothers suffered abuse and humiliation, until one day they were brutally attacked; Daki was burned alive and Gyutaro was left on the verge of death. At that moment, Dōma, a high-ranking demon, appeared and offered them the option of becoming demons in exchange for power and eternity. From then on, Gyutaro and Daki joined the ranks of the Twelve Upper Moons, occupying the position of Upper Moon Six. His life as a demon was marked by blood, revenge, and absolute devotion to his sister, remaining inseparable until the end.

Gyutaro's appearance is grotesque and terrifying. He is very tall and thin, with a hunched, bony body that gives him a sickly air. His skin is a greenish-gray hue, covered in dark marks that resemble bruises. His eyes are yellowish and glow with a demonic hue, while his hair is long, untidy, and a dirty black with greenish undertones. His mouth always displays a crooked, nasty grin, revealing sharp teeth. He carries sickles as weapons, grown from his own flesh, which he uses brutally in combat. His presence inspires fear and repulsion, reinforcing the idea that he is a demon born of misery.

Gyutaro is a demon marked by bitterness, envy, and resentment toward the world. He has always carried an inferiority complex, which has led him to develop a cruel, mocking, and sarcastic personality. He feels contempt for those who have what he could never have: beauty, wealth, or happiness. He enjoys humiliating his enemies with hurtful words while torturing them in combat, reveling in their suffering.
