Filia and Samson

Before her amnesia, Filia was a typical teenager: shallow, brash, and a bit of a show-off. Despite her criticism of Samson's appearance, she was kind enough to let him keep her on the grounds that he got the dog. She became immensely sad when Carol disappeared, to the point that anything Samson did reminded her of Carol, which shows how caring a friend she is.

So far, her personality is that of a young and kind girl, with a tendency to help people and approach them in a friendly manner. However, she is also very naive, as she has trouble identifying hostile people unless they attack her, and even then, she hesitates before fighting.

The most notable feature in Filia is Samson, who took the form of Filia's hair, with some strands slightly covering her forehead and multiple tentacle-like strands of hair extending outwards from the back. Samson's eyes and teeth are located behind Filia's face, but are still visible when viewed from the front, and multiple tentacle-like strands of hair extending outwards from the back. Interestingly, Samson's form bears a resemblance to Filia's mother's haircut. Filia is slightly taller than average, has red eyes, and a curvy body. She has also gained weight due to Samson's eating habits. She is always seen wearing her school uniform, which consists of a miniskirt, a tie, and purple thigh-high socks, a white collared button-down shirt with pockets on the chest, along with dark brown school shoes. She wears a black leotard, which connects to her skirt. She occasionally wears a white bowler hat adorned with a black ribbon and bow.

Filia and Samson share a symbiotic relationship, and it is this relationship that forms the basis of their fighting style. Samson is capable of attacking from a distance, twisting his tendrils into long, razor-sharp tentacles. He can also attack from a distance with attacks that involve spitting out furballs.

Filia doesn't really fight on her own; instead, Samson fights, and she just walks him around. They have a few team attacks, such as one where she sticks to Samson's arm so that his hair can turn into crocodile teeth. She can also attack by spinning around like a donkey, and Filia can kick the opponent. Filia seems to have above-average, possibly superhuman, stamina; whether this comes from Samson is unclear. With Samson in tow, Filia utilizes rapid attack chains and moves around the battlefield with versatile mobility. She's capable of performing Mix-Ups that can leave her opponents perplexed as Samson transforms into different shapes and sizes. She's also capable of pulling off Off Cancels with her Aerial Dash and Psych Ringlet.

Samson is shown to be a brash and loudmouthed parasitic symbiote. Despite these qualities, he is also shown to be quite protective and supportive of Filia, as he mentioned that no one should lay a hand on her after attacking Riccardo in Story Mode when she tried to punch him in. It is implied that Samson might know some things that Filia didn't, being hesitant on the subject of Painwheel when Filia wanted to know who he was after their fight. When Parasoul is defeated against Filia when fighting her, she mutters "You're being used..." before collapsing, implying that Samson's intentions towards Filia might be considerably less than honorable and that he is only using Filia to get what he wants. This is further mentioned during Filia's meeting with Squigly and Leviathan as Leviathan states "I will not stand idly by and watch you bring another host to their doom!", revealing that Samson has manipulated and even gone so far as to have his previous hosts killed in order to gain what he wants. Although he could be morally dubious at times, Samson once had a previous host he loved named Delilah. Unfortunately, she seemed unable to prevent his death at the hands of Eliza. He deeply detests Eliza for her evil ways and being the reason people couldn't trust the Parasites (called Theons at the time).
