"Smiling" Jack Drake.

Rumor has it that Jack, while mortal, was a pirate, influential rebel, and famous anarch from the days of the Anarch Free State, and is considered a legend among the younger vampires of his clan.

Although Jack tries to convince people that he was a pirate captain, in reality, he never rose above the rank of second mate. His violent temper earned him the mistrust of his fellow sailors, and he never managed to gain enough support to become captain. However, he was valued for his strong arm and loyalty to his comrades. By the age of 40, he had accumulated enough wealth to receive a pardon and retire to Barbados.

Jack tried to settle down, but after the egalitarian pirate lifestyle, the despotic laws of the local nobles simply irritated him. He soon found himself on the run for beating up a petty, snot-nosed don who tried to push him out of the way. One of the local brujas, fighting against Ventrue expansion into the Caribbean, found Jack dead drunk in a coastal tavern and offered to fight the dons forever. Jack, never one to miss a chance to fight, agreed.

He undoubtedly knows many other techniques; however, he seems to avoid the use of manipulative Disciplines such as Dominate or Thaumaturgy. Jack's influence within the Anarch Movement is considerable, though he steadfastly rejects any formal leadership role. He serves as a mentor and, more importantly, a friend to many vampires. He seems to harbor a particular dislike for both the Camarilla in general and the Ventrue in particular. He is not easily provoked into open combat, but his mischievous and cunning tactics, as well as his techniques, have become legendary among young anarchs.
