When Mona meets with Klee and Albedo, it is almost always to get free food and, secondarily, to exchange academic views with Albedo.

Since they both seek to unravel the principles of the universe, and both are students of famous masters, it is only natural that they would work together.

Mona vehemently defends her teacher's image in front of Albedo.

However, he often also complains about "that old hag."

"You say your teacher is unique in the world, but also that she's a stubborn old witch. I don't understand. Which of the two is the real one?"

Albedo couldn't help but ask this question, and in fact, Mona realized she had never given it much thought.

So, he considered it deeply for a moment while scratching his chin.

"Hmm! The techniques my teacher taught me are exceptional, but that doesn't mean she's on par with me. Does she even know how much eggs, butter, or wheat cost? Just for that, I've already surpassed her."

Sometimes he even gives the portrait to the "model" who inspired him to draw it. Albedo thinks that being able to capture a moment of happiness is worthwhile.

Time passed, and Albedo's drawing skills only improved. However, a devastating feeling overwhelmed him the first time he saw an illustration from Inazuma.

How was it possible that such a schematic image had such narrative power?

For Albedo, this was incredible, and he wanted to try it himself.

Khaenri'ah is hidden beneath the earth's surface, and its natural animal species are very scarce. Therefore, Albedo's alchemy focuses more on creating life, something known in alchemy as the "kimia" technique.

When he was little, he read something in his teacher's notebook: "Limestone is the advanced state of the earth."

In fact, his teacher once mentioned it: “Limestone is a type of immaculate earth; it’s the material that was used to create the first human beings.”

Currently, Albedo has a much better grasp and understanding of alchemy.

“The earth, called 'nigredo' in alchemy, gives rise to limestone, which is called 'albedo'.”

That's how he fully understood the profound meaning of that phrase.

This unspeakable enigma was closely related to his relationship with his teacher.

Obviously, she was different from her biological mother, but there was no doubt that Albedo owed her life to her.

Until one day, disciple and master found an artifact called the "Heart of Naberius" in a place deep within the earth.

Since then, her teacher disappeared, leaving her only a note, a letter of recommendation, and a book.

The note read: “Albedo, go to Mondstadt, find Alice, an old friend of mine, give her the letter of recommendation, and complete the final lesson.”

The book his teacher gave him was an ancient work titled "Opus magnum".

In addition, he also left him a very special gift: written recognition that he had completed his apprenticeship, as well as the title of "Prince of the Limestone Rock".

All the lessons Albedo had to overcome were always very complicated, and he knew that when his teacher threatened him, saying, "If you can't do this, I won't want you as an apprentice," she always meant it.

However, Albedo's new task was much more difficult than usual, to the point that he couldn't take it anymore.

Did this mean she couldn't finish the lesson, and that she would never see her teacher again?

“Here is your final lesson: show me the truth and meaning of the world.”

Albedo has no memory of his family. The only thing he's done since he can remember is explore Domains alongside his teacher. The Knights of Favonius, Alice, the traveler from the stars... Although they are all an important part of her life, her teacher holds the most special place.

For Albedo, she is his only family.

Very apathetic and strict, she was the one who raised him and taught him the great mysteries of alchemy.

“The universe is what lies hidden behind the blackness of the starry sky. On the other hand, the earth is nothing more than memories created through the accumulation of time and life.”

You are like a limestone rock, while the earth is the origin of alchemy, as well as the source of all life. And so…”

Albedo's teacher demonstrated her abilities. Suddenly, a gigantic life form erupted from her cultivation tank, which shattered into a thousand pieces scattered across the floor.

"That's how life is created."

"If Albedo lives in Mondstadt, it's thanks to his teacher's letter of recommendation." While this statement is entirely true, Mondstadt always welcomes everyone, whether they have a letter of recommendation or not.

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that, without that letter, Albedo would live more comfortably in Mondstadt.

This is because the actual recipient of the letter was Alice, the famous travel guide writer and old friend of Rhinedottir, Albedo's teacher.

When she finished reading the letter, Alice remained silent for a long time to reflect.

“So Rhine wants you to have a laboratory… But that can’t be built just like that! Oh, I know!”

And so, Alice got Albedo into the Knights of Favonius.

The Knights' work was quite easy for Albedo, so he only spent fifty percent of his energy completing it.

But things don't last forever.

Alice has a daughter named Klee; yes, that Klee.

“From now on, we’re like family. You must treat Klee as if she were your own sister!”

Since then, Albedo began spending the other fifty percent of his energy fixing Klee's messes.

Albedo holds an important position within the Knights of Favonius. However, he is rarely seen in public. This isn't because he has a cold and eccentric scholar's personality. On the contrary; he always treats people very well.

However, he doesn't always manage to be so close and hospitable, as it's something that consumes a lot of his energy.

Therefore, Albedo chooses to maintain a certain distance from people, while at the same time maintaining a friendly attitude towards them.

However, it's impossible to find him in Mondstadt when his workshop is closed due to travel or to search for materials.

The fact that he maintains a certain distance from people doesn't mean Albedo is a cold person.

When he helps Timaeus and Sucrose, his assistants, he does so wholeheartedly, and he also gets very happy when he delivers his sketches to a citizen.

But when he sees Lisa, a person with so much talent who voluntarily chose to be a librarian... he can't help but feel sorry for her.

Alchemy is an art with a rich history, but unfortunately, it has been lost. Today, the well-known alchemical techniques are only used to piece together a broken object and thus save some money on glue. If an alchemist heard such a thing, they would surely exclaim: “Alchemy is not something so simplistic!”

Unfortunately, that's what most people in Mondstadt thought.

Until one day, Albedo moved to the city and showed the world the true potential of alchemy with his incredible abilities.

Not even anyone from the Sumeru Academy was able to understand the workings of this branch of knowledge, about which Albedo was always talking.

“The universe is the reverse of the sky, and the earth is the place of a dream forgotten by time. These are ashes, the simplest way in which the complexity of life manifests itself.”

To demonstrate the veracity of this enigmatic explanation, Albedo held up in his hands the ashes of a flower that had been burned on the head of a Dendro Slime.

In a matter of seconds, a caecilian emerged from the pile of ashes.

“Here you have: a new life.”

Despite being viewed positively by the people of Mondstadt, they know almost nothing about him, and he is secretive about his past. He is assumed to be a homunculus created by his master, as he curiously views her as his creator. He has no memory of his family and considers himself to be of a different "substance" compared to the people of Teyvat. Due to the ancient and forgotten knowledge he possesses, he even considers himself a threat, with Venti and Dainsleif considering him dangerous for that reason.

Albedo is a talented artist, who initially took up the hobby to help with his experiments, but now does it to relax. He serves as Xingqiu's illustrator, considering him a good author. He researches and studies everything that interests him, stating that he enjoys the feeling of enlightenment that comes with doing so. Once this feeling disappears, he quickly abandons what he was doing as the truth feels bittersweet to him. He maintains this outlook when it comes to eating, preferring light and sweet dishes.

Albedo is described as a kind and popular figure in Mondstadt, as well as an alchemical genius. She pursues the "truth" of the world of Teyvat at her teacher's request and appears to be able to create living organisms through her alchemical talents. Albedo is also good with children, getting along well with Klee, who considers him kind and patient, while he in turn views her as a sort of younger sister.

Like Sucrose, Albedo spends most of her time as a recluse who shows a slight dislike for speaking to others due to the difficulty required to maintain social relationships; she does not stutter like her assistant.

Albedo is a young man with bright blue-green eyes with three dots in the iris (similar to the alchemy table) and pale skin. He has shoulder-length ash-blonde hair, partially pulled back in a braided half-ponytail. There is a golden diamond mark in the center of his neck.

Albedo wears a long white coat with short sleeves and a black hood, a gold chain on the back, and black and gold lining. It is unbuttoned but held in place by a black sash. Underneath this, she wears an indigo shirt and a pair of black shorts, along with plain black tights, ornate black thigh-high boots with silver detailing, and long black gloves with orange undersides and gold detailing. She wears her Geo Vision just below the collar of her shirt.

One of the creations of the alchemist Rhinedottir, the mysterious Albedo is the Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Research Team through a recommendation from the adventurer Alice, with Sucrose as his assistant. He has an endless desire to learn about the world of Teyvat, carefully studying every object around him.
