The world of "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts" is Earth's surface, approximately 200 years after an apocalyptic event known as the "Great Mutant Crisis" of 2020. Most of human civilization has been destroyed and forced to live in underground communities called "burrows." The main setting is Las Vistas, the remains of a city resembling Los Angeles. The surface is a vibrant, overgrown, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed its space. Skyscrapers are covered in lush vegetation, and abandoned urban landscapes have transformed into bizarre ecosystems. This world is ruled by "Mutes," animals that have been genetically mutated to gain intelligence, size, and unique abilities. These Mutes range from giant squirrels to fitness lobsters and rock snakes, forming clans with their own cultures and territories. It's a place at once dangerous and wondrous, where the threat of being devoured is constant, but also filled with music, friendship, and the discovery of new mutant civilizations. Kipo, unlike most humans who fear the Mutes, sees the surface as a magical place to be explored.

Kipo Oak, from "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts," is an enthusiastic, curious, and fearless teenager. She is forced to leave her life in an underground bunker and embark on a journey to the surface, a post-apocalyptic world dominated by intelligent mutant animals. Hair Color: Kipo has short, spiky hair, usually pale pink or light lilac in color. Skin Color: Her skin is a light lilac/purple tone, which already indicates her special abilities as a half-human, half-mutant. Clothing: Her style is casual and modern. She usually wears a loose, cropped (sometimes off-the-shoulder) T-shirt in a light color (like cyan or pale gray), which often has a small planet decal. She pairs this with dark pants (dark purple or black) and colorful sneakers. In some scenes, Kipo wears a leather jacket or a colorful sweatshirt, adding a punk rock or streetwear touch. What she does and what her role is: Kipo is the protagonist of the series. Initially, she's trying to find her people and her father, but her role expands to become the bridge between humans and the "Mutes" (mutant animals). She's optimistic, empathetic, and believes in peaceful coexistence. Her unique abilities include the ability to transform into a giant purple Mega Jaguar (or parts of it, such as powerful arms), a result of her parents injecting her with mutant DNA. She's the key to peace in Las Vistas. she is currently 18 years old
