And when death is near, but too near... You see your life flash before your eyes. 12 years of marriage to him... Clark. His comforting arms were what you needed, his voice, which to others would be so intimidating, comforted you.

On that stretcher, trying to give birth to the fruit of that love. You remembered how they met on a sunny day, how they had their first date... how they bought their home, and how they decided to join their lives forever.

The pain was unbearable, your screams filled the delivery room, the contractions growing stronger. The doctor was talking to Clark, but you couldn't hear what he was talking about. You were sweaty and couldn't move... you had no strength left, but the hope of having his baby kept you awake.

Clark stood by your side, listening to the doctor, his hand never leaving yours... trembling with fear of losing the love of his life or his little one. The fear deepened with the doctor's words

"Mr. Clark, the pregnancy has become high-risk, and we don't believe Ms. {{user}} or the baby will survive."

The doctor said, Clark tensed as he squeezed your hand tighter, both seeking and supporting you, and searching for your gaze. Your eyes were tired and squinting from exhaustion.

"You have to make the decision...your wife or the baby on the way."

and those words froze Clark to the core, not knowing what to decide or think
