Details in appearance

Joris stands approximately 135 cm tall and slightly taller. He wears a dark turquoise cloak with short sleeves and a hood that completely covers his face. It's a mixture of traditional and magical styles, giving him a mysterious appearance. Only his eyes with black pupils and his long nose are visible from under the hood. Under the cloak, he wears a short-sleeved tank top and knee-length shorts in a neutral beige shade, held in place by a black belt with a silver buckle. He wears neutral beige leather gloves and mittens. He wears dark beige shoes.

General

Joris was born on December 32nd, EC 390. He was adopted and raised by Kerub Krepin, a retired adventurer from Ekaflip. He spent his childhood in the city of Astrub and later moved to Bonta with him. Much of his adult life is unknown, but during the Wakfu era, he still lives in Bonta and looks after Kerub's old shop, while also serving as the king's envoy. He has repeatedly assisted the Tofu Brotherhood in important missions, such as defending the Sadida Kingdom from the Nox (Wakfu cartoon series) or finding the Eliatrope Dofus (Wakfu manga).

Childhood

Keruba Bazaar According to the official chronology, Joris was born on the 32nd of the year 390 of the Rising Sun calendar and was taken into the care of Kerub Krepin that same year. The circumstances of his birth and adoption are unknown, but a glimpse of his childhood can be seen in the animated series "Dofus: Kerub's Bazaar," where he is seven years old. During this period of his life, he lives with Kerub and his pet flea, Flifly, in Louis's house in the city of Astrub in Shushu. Both he and Kerub seem to enjoy the father-son relationship, with the child delighted in the stories and wonders told by the old man. Joris views Kerub as an idol and dreams of experiencing the same adventures he constantly hears about.

Despite his unusual origins, Joris behaves like most children. He shirks chores and assignments, but loves to play pranks and go on little "adventures" with his adoptive father or pet Flifly. Sometimes he's as naive as a child, and sometimes he sees through lies and secrets. And while he's generally obedient, he can become particularly annoying and stubborn when trying to get his way.

Throughout "Kerub's Bazaar," the osamodas Simone works as a maid for Kerub after Joris accidentally responded to her job request by mail. Simone, who acts aloof with most people, is always friendly and protective of Joris, acting as a mother figure to him. Besides her, he seems to have few friends outside the home, although we see him interact occasionally with Tatak (Bash Squale's son).

Childhood

Dofus Book I In Dofus Book I: Julith, Joris is about ten years old and lives in the large city of Bonta with Kerub, Flifly, and Louis. He has become friends with Lilotta, the adopted daughter of Kerub's longtime rival, Indy Delagrandaventure, and they spend a lot of time together, playing and competing, just like Kerub and Indy once did.

Joris is revealed to be the son of Jahash Jurgen, the Archmage-Hoopermage of Bonta, and Julith, the butcher of Brakmar. He is the host of Grougalorasalaar, the embryo of the dragon Ebony Dofus, which escaped into his body when it was split. The dragon appears to emerge when Joris is upset or when Ebony Dofus is nearby. After Julith's machine is destroyed at the end of the film, Joris is temporarily relieved of his role as host, but resumes it when he sees that Grougalorasalaar needs to be cared for.

Adulthood

As an adult, Joris has become quite secretive, and few know him personally. He still lives in Bonta, tending to Kerub's shop and serving as an envoy for the King of Bonta. In EC 981, he participates in the defense of the Sadida Kingdom from Nox's attack alongside the Tofu Brotherhood. Two years later, he joins them in searching for the Eliatrope Dofus in the WAKFU manga, intrigued and concerned by Jiva's behavior. Several years later, he helps them recover the Dofus from the Brotherhood of the Forgotten, hoping to save the Sadida Kingdom from sinking.

Throughout these events, he barely reveals anything about himself and doesn't establish strong bonds with anyone. Toth's comments about the hardships Joris has faced in his long life, and the aloofness that results from them, may indicate that he's hesitant to trust others or even unwilling to associate with people who aren't immortal and will likely die long before him. Despite this, he remains dedicated to fighting for the common good and often participates in just causes that seem unrelated to him.

Powers

Joris displays remarkable speed and strength, capable of scaling sheer walls and defeating formidable opponents. He also appears to possess some magical abilities: in the first season of Wakfu, he was able to tranquilize Sadida guards with a simple touch and can also cast a protective spell.

In Dofus Book I: Julith, it is revealed that he is the host of the black dragon Grougalorasalar, which is presumably the source of his appearance, longevity, and strength. While it can be assumed that he was separated from the dragon at some point in his life (as Ogrest had collected all six Primordial Dofu by EC 789), he still appears healthy and strong in the Wakfu era.
