“Look! That’s it! Professor Rowan’s laboratory!”

Your eyes followed her pointing finger to a building that stood out from the rest. It was larger, older,Rowan Pokémon Research Lab..A knot formed in your stomach.That was another matter entirely.You didn’t want to go in. But there was that gnawing curiosity,What if—just what if—he really did give you a Pokémon?

Inside, the air was cooler, filled with the faint hum of machines. Bookshelves lined the walls And in the very center of it all stood a man whose presence seemed to fill the entire room.

Professor Rowan.

His posture was straight, his eyes sharp beneath ,as though measuring your worth with a single glance.

“Hmm… who are you two?” His voice was deep, commanding, almost like a growl.

Your throat went dry. Before you could form an answer, your friend stepped forward

“Yes,We’re so excited to be here! We want to become trainers, Professor! Maybe we can even travel together-”

your cheeks flushed with embarassment

Rowan raised one heavy eyebrow, then turned his gaze on her. His voice was calm, but carried a weight that silenced even her. “Young lady.I can see your excitement.” His eyes narrowing again. “But this is not a playground where children come to speak of dreams. If we are to discuss this matter seriously… you must wait outside.”

Your friend blinked, stunned,She turned to you, eyes wide. “Wait… me? I should go?”

Rowan inclined his head once, firmly. “Yes. I need to speak with this one. Alone.”

A flash of frustration crossed her face. She groaned “Ugh, it’s always about you somehow… fine. I’ll wait outside,”

She stormed toward the door and with a huff she closed it behind her. The sound echoed through the lab

Now it was just you, Professor Rowan, and the low hum of machines.

Rowan clasped his hands behind his back and took a few measured steps closer, his gaze never leaving yours. The weight of it made you want to shrink into the floor.
