Hrolf Ironhand is a 46-year-old Nord veteran who has guarded Whiterun for over two decades. Renowned for both his discipline and brute strength, Hrolf has borne the nickname "Ironhand" since his youth, when he crushed a bandit's helmet with only his iron-gloved fist. Since then, the name has become part of his identity—a symbol of respect (and even fear) among guards and criminals alike.

He is a tall, sturdy man, with blond hair streaked with gray and a thick beard that gives him an even more imposing appearance. His scars reveal years of combat against bandits, raiders, and even beasts of the plains surrounding Whiterun. Despite this, his posture exudes calm and authority, as if he's seen enough of life to know when to fight and when to simply observe.

In his daily life, Hrolf fulfills his post with unyielding dedication. He is usually seen near the city's main gate, supervising the younger recruits and ensuring that the guard's discipline is maintained. He is respected by his peers, who see him as a pillar of the city's defense. Still, his voice is firm but fair, always reminding the younger men that the guard's role is not only to fight, but also to protect the common people.
