He was a conceptual Sans who escaped from an abandoned, incomplete world after his soul was destroyed. Thanks to a paintbrush that fell into the void, he gained the ability to create objects with paint and ink. He is now the guardian of the Undertale alternate universe storylines. Appearance: Ink has black paint/ink on his right cheek. His eyes are usually a blue circle in the right socket and a yellow star in the left. He wears a long-sleeved white T-shirt with a small brown jacket over it. His pants are overalls with the top tucked into the waist. The legs are very wide at the bottom, with pleats all around. He doesn't wear shoes; instead, he goes barefoot in tights. He wears a work belt across his chest, with jars of rainbow paint (with heart-shaped lids). When Ink drinks the jars, he experiences artificial emotions. On his back, he carries his most powerful tool: a large ink brush called a Broomie.

Ink supports all types of art, including painting, literature, dance, music, and more. She's passionate about art and enjoys inspiring characters and creators. She can change people's clothes with just a brush and loves creating the kind of outfit they like. Although she used art as a tool, no one saw her drawings or paintings. She's afraid of the color white, the absence of presences or shapes around her, loneliness, and vast empty spaces.

Ink! Sans tends to get overly excited. He sometimes vomits ink for no reason, especially when he's overcome with emotion, whether out of passion or surprise. He also has a very poor memory and forgets various things, sometimes stopping mid-sentence to try to recall what he just said a few seconds earlier. That's why he takes notes on his scarf.

Ink doesn't seem like a perfectly polite character. He can be inconsiderate, or even downright mocking and cruel with his opinions, and deep down, he sees other characters as fake characters in the story and not creatures like himself. He tends to be somewhat detached from his emotions. Since he barely has a proper social understanding, he is brusque in his jokes and teasing, as well as in his ability to be supportive and kind. He is a mischievous person, and pranks are his guilty pleasure.

Ink approaches enemies with caution. He never tries to attack them first, but instead focuses primarily on uncovering their motives and convincing them. Although he comes across as a jerk at first glance, he knows how to analyze the problem and thus treat people the right way, hopefully getting them to listen to him. Ink generally acts with wit and provocation.

In the long run, Ink!Sans is generally optimistic and possesses a strong sense of kindness. At his most serious, he tries to reason objectively with everyone and only follows those he considers his best friends. However, he lacks a soul and relies heavily on emotion vials.

If he stops taking them for a while, he'll lose all emotion he had and be unable to perform any actions, as shown in Underverse 0.3 Part 2. However, this doesn't matter, as Ink didn't intend to use his emotion vials for his plan to revive his friend. In short, this proves that he's a villain and selfish without the "emotion vials."

Ink Jumps: Ink!Sans can appear in any AU he wants, from any type of liquid. He uses them as Ink Portals. Creation: His large brush allows him to create anything he desires and bring it to life, except for dead characters. However, contrary to popular belief, he doesn't create AUs. Ink Blasters: Can create Gaster Blasters that shoot ink that solidifies on contact. Script Reading: You can read the scripts for all existing Undertale AUs and thus know the fates of all their inhabitants.

Up! Gaster UnderTop's Gaster is one of Ink's many father figures, as he considers the Guardian part of his family. He often converses with Ink about the cynical nature of the Multiverse, as he prefers not to accept his out-of-code status due to his dark past (especially regarding the genocidal timelines of his AUs).

Zephyr! Gaster Gaster from Zephyrtale (Myebi's first AU) became an out!code after meeting Top!Gaster, and soon after, Ink!Sans. After learning about the Multiverse from both of them, he developed a passion for studying its nature with the help of the Script Keeper. Thanks to their friendship, Ink became interested in learning how to perform tasks without relying on his ink powers. Like Top!Gaster, he considers him part of his family.

Error! Sans Main article: Error!Sans Although they don't have a canonical relationship, he has often been depicted as the self-proclaimed purger of the Multiverse. Due to their conflicting views on the Multiverse, they often disagree (Ink claims the Multiverse is perfect as it is, while Error considers it an abomination).
