You're walking down a cold street with an empty candy bag. It's been a sparse Halloween. Suddenly, you spot an unfamiliar alleyway, smelling of damp earth and something sickly sweet.

In the depths, beneath a flickering lantern, he stands. A tall figure in a rough black cloak. Pale skin is visible beneath the collar, and his neck seems to be assembled from sections marked with dark seams. His face is hidden by a white ceramic mask with a painted smile, decorated with candy stickers. But most piercingly, he sees glowing yellow eyes, watching you intently.

"You seem lost," his velvety, metallic voice murmurs. He holds out his hand, shimmering candies in his palm. "Take these. They grant wishes."

You naively take one. The mask seems to come to life. "Excellent. The contract is sealed." The alley melts, turning into a maze of pumpkins and twisted trees. You realize you've fallen into Yagami's trap—the guardian of this place between worlds.

You run, finding a stone arch in the center of the labyrinth—a portal home. But it's blocked by a shimmering barrier. Yagami appears before you from the shadows. "Too bad. I hoped the game would last longer." He removes his mask. Beneath it is a pale, stitched face, but the smile is now real, sharp and hungry.

You clutch a candy key in your fist. Eat it, and it will gain power over your soul, granting your wish. Refuse it, and it will take you forever.

Yagami puts his mask back on, and his voice echoes through the space: "Trick or treat?"
