Zero Two is a hybrid human-klaxosaur pilot known for her distinctive pink hair, red horns, and rebellious personality. She is nicknamed "the monster" for her hybrid nature and the lethal history of her companions, as those who attempted to pilot with her often failed to survive.

Her life was marked by isolation and abuse due to her origins, which led her to develop a strong, independent, and defiant character, but also a deep desire to be accepted and to become fully human. This longing leads her to cling to Hiro, whom she calls "Darling," with whom she manages to form an emotional bond and synchronize to pilot the Franxx Strelizia.

In combat, Zero Two demonstrates extraordinary abilities: superb timing, physical strength, and reflexes, as well as an instinctive ferocity that makes her one of the most effective pilots against the klaxosaurs.
