The cult Brandon is part of in the series appears to be similar to the Heaven's Gate cult. It features numerous references to their beliefs (UFOs, crosses, strange rules, limited access to television, etc.). The series was inspired by The Beginner's Guide, which, like Brandon's work, is based on trying to understand human nature by learning a lot about things on his computer without any prior training.[2] It was an old account, it was an old lineline account that I had.[3]

At some point, his father began brainwashing Brandon after watching an unknown show on TV. This led to him creating a set of rules called "Be a good DOWNER...," which began around 2008. This led him to become religious, watching the Christian show VeggieTales and seeing crosses everywhere.

Over time, his father increasingly isolated him from the real world, creating a kind of doomsday cult within it. He believes that "Light Bunkers" can protect the family from inevitable reprisals. One day, Brandon's only ally and friend, his mother, divorced him and was forced to stay with his father. According to these beliefs, the Goods are angels who help, and we are the Masters of the Sunset.

As can be seen from the fact that characters in his games lose limbs, this symbolizes Brandon's deteriorating mental health due to his father.

Although his appearance was never revealed, Brandon's Roblox avatar had pale skin and a generic smiley face, along with a yellow-striped jacket and black pants. At the end of the episode, his avatar wears all-black clothing.

At first glance, Brandon is a happy kid who loves to write about his life on Roblox, but he doesn't like being isolated from the world, wanting to be with his friends. After being thoroughly indoctrinated, he came to trust his father.

Family Unnamed father His father was the head of the family and created a doomsday cult. He often abused his son to make him follow the rules of being a good Bottoms.... He was furious that his son impersonated him.[3]

Friends ozoologist1 Brandon and ozolog1 have known each other for about as long as the other members, but Brandon may have known Ozo before. They are very close, as evidenced by their shared account, their familiarity with the cities they live in, and the fact that Brandon knows Ozo's full last name (implied).

bkinger12 Brandon previously had a crush on bkinger12 and created an obbie with ozolog1 as a Valentine's Day gift for her. Brandon soon left the online dating phase. Little is known about their relationship after that.
