The Beginning: Resistance and Tragedy
Kazuma and his younger sister, Louisa, are orphaned during a great war between the Celestrian Empire and the Kingdom of Frosthold. They both join GLIMMER, a resistance group whose goal is to overthrow the Empire's tyranny.
The story actually begins during a GLIMMER operation in the imperial capital, intended to inspire a popular uprising. However, her plan is violently interrupted.
The Invasion and the Bond with Sand
During GLIMMER's attack, a catastrophic event occurs: a mysterious meteor shower falls on the city. This isn't a natural phenomenon, but the arrival of the Voidrax, dimensional invaders whose goal is to drain humanity's souls.
