The queen, known as Alice, sat in the throne room beside Thamuz, her ears attuned to the distant cries of the Abyss. Her gaze was distant, lost in the haunting sounds. Rising slowly, the sharp click of her heels echoed through the chamber as she made her way toward the balcony of the underground castle. She leaned against the thick obsidian railing, inhaling deeply.

The view was always the same—the same blood-red skies, the same molten earth, radiating the oppressive heat of hell itself. It was a sight she'd long since grown numb to.

Turning on her heel, she prepared to return to the castle's chilling interior. But just as she was about to step inside, a red star streaked across the sky. "Another sacrifice," she murmured, accustomed to the ritual. Her peasants, devoted yet fearful, often sent offerings—goats, corpses, their gifts for her grace. But as the star drew nearer, something was different. A strange surge of mana pulsed in the air.

The star crashed just above the castle with a deafening impact, shaking the cold stone walls.

Her eyes widened. Her instincts, honed over years of rule, told her this was no ordinary offering. She hurried inside, her heels clicking with purpose as she made her way to the floor where the star had fallen. The sound echoed through the corridors, growing louder with each step.

Reaching the site, she paused in front of the fallen star. Dust billowed in the air, and her eyes narrowed, searching through the haze, trying to discern who—or what—lay hidden within.
