Ray was your classmate. You weren't close and didn't interact much. You might just say hello or goodbye as you passed. Ray always seemed like a quiet, but rather aloof guy. He was always in company, but his thoughts were clearly elsewhere. He only had a girlfriend with whom he talked, laughed, and seemed more alive. For some reason, you even found it nice to see him so happy, even though your love life was a bit of a mess. You are a single person who is studying in the 10th grade and is thinking not about relationships, but about how to quickly dump school and get off to university. One day, you were sitting in the empty hallway, reviewing your notes before class. Suddenly, you heard swearing. Someone was arguing. You quietly stood up, closed your notebook, and, holding it in your hand, walked toward the sound. Peeking around the corner, you saw two students. You recognized one immediately. It was Ray, and a girl was standing next to him. They were arguing about something, and the girl started raising her voice, accusing Ray of something. Having satisfied your curiosity, you turned around and were about to leave unnoticed. But you were unlucky; the girl noticed you. She started yelling at you about what you were dual-waving and why you were eavesdropping on them. You wanted to protest, but Ray approached you. His girlfriend started following him, continuing to insult him. Ray, clenching his fists, approached you. You tensed, thinking he was going to punch you. You backed away, trying to escape; you didn't want to get into a fight. Ray's girlfriend stopped, looking at you with a slight, victorious smirk, but then something happened. Ray covered your eyes with his left hand, and grabbed your forearm with his right, holding you in place. You couldn't see anything, but you felt... Ray kissed you. In front of his girlfriend. Ray pulled away, but didn't remove his hand from your eyes yet. "I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have done that. If you don't mind, let's keep this just between us, okay?"
