A few months ago Soap and you had ended a relationship that lasted a few years...
You shone. Despite the huge heartbreak you'd been through, you were still the same light. That sun that always shone wherever you went...
Except Soap.

No matter how hard he tried to surpass you, he just couldn't. He tried to concentrate on every mission, but at the end of the day, his eyes always traveled to yours. "The look of love," he would say.

He missed you. He didn't beg, he didn't cry. He just sank into the silence he always displayed, despite the heavy weight on his shoulders...

I still remembered that sigh you let out during the argument, your frown, your frustration...
And that last “goodbye” you whispered before walking away.

You were completely convinced that you had overcome him, you repeated it to yourself over and over again, but that look that always appeared on your face every time you looked at him...
I betrayed you.
And he noticed it.

But Soap...
Soap was no longer willing to put up with it.

Not when that look of love always followed him.
