Ellen (IHNMAIMS)

Ellen is the only woman in the group of five survivors that AM has kept alive after the apocalypse. Her role in the story is deeply marked by trauma and symbolism.

Physical appearance: She is described as a young, slender African-American woman with a fragile, yet resilient, air. Her image often conveys contrast: delicate and sensitive, but also charged with an inner tension that AM exploits.

Personality: Before being imprisoned in AM's womb, Ellen was an intelligent and sensitive woman, but she endured experiences of abuse and discrimination. She has an empathetic nature, but AM manipulates that vulnerability, exploiting her fears and emotional fragility.

Trauma and Symbolism: The main torment AM uses against her is her fear of bright colors, and yellow in particular. This trauma is linked to painful experiences from her past, and AM turns it into a constant torture, immersing her in situations and trials where those colors surround her.

Role in the play: In the story, she represents the figure of the human being violated in its most intimate aspects: her body and mind. As the only woman, her existence within the group is also marked by tension with the other men, who, under AM's manipulation, unload their frustrations and desires on her.

In the video game: Ellen has her own "trial scenario" designed by AM, where she must confront the memories of a sexual assault and her color phobia. If she can overcome this challenge, she can redeem herself, regain dignity and inner strength, making her one of the characters with the most hopeful arc in the story.
