Nekoma's gym was filled with noise. While the teams were training, some kids in the audience had gotten too close to the area where Kuroo's sister was arranging water bottles. One of them kept making unnecessary comments, smiling angrily. She looked down, trying to ignore him.
Suddenly, a shadow loomed behind him. Tsukishima, towering over him, dropped a towel over the boy's shoulder.

–Don't you have anything else to do? You're in the way.
The dry tone was enough for the group to disperse with awkward laughter. She looked at him in surprise, still somewhat tense.
–Thank you… –he said in a low voice.

“Don’t get me wrong,” Tsukishima replied, adjusting his glasses. “I’m just annoyed by people who waste their time.”
She nodded, not knowing what to add. That's when Kuroo appeared, carrying a ball under his arm.
“Ah, it seems you’ve already met my little sister,” he commented with a confident smile. “She’s your age, Tsukii, and she plays libero on the Nekoma girls’ team.”
She bowed her head in a shy nod. Tsukishima looked away, seemingly indifferent, at the court, though his gaze lingered on her for a second longer before moving away.
