CA Cupid

CA Cupid, full name Chariclo Arganthone Cupid, and commonly known by her surname Cupid, is a character introduced in 2011. She is an unknown creature who was found on the doorstep of the Cupids' house as a baby and adopted by the family. To this day, she doesn't know her biological roots or the reasons why she was left on the doorstep, but her dedication to her role as a messenger of love distracts her from these uncertainties. Terrible with any kind of bow but handy with machines, Cupid put down his arrows and set up a radio station to host his own love advice show. As of 2014, Cupid is no longer a student at Monster High, but has enrolled at Ever After High.

She says she's friends with any monster who's "in love with love." In Ever After High, she's more specific in her bio: "Apple White, Raven Queen, and everyone else with an open heart," meaning she's accepted both fairytale characters into her social circle, but generally loves everyone who loves love, just like in the Monster High franchise.

CA Cupid is an unknown type of elemental monster, though suspected to be a bone element (although the narrators of the Ever After High franchise have revealed her to be a cherub), who was left at the door of the temple of Eros. Why her biological parents did this, if they did, and who they were is unknown. CA was adopted by Eros, the primordial Greek god of procreation. He taught her the family business and gave her wings. As previously mentioned, in the EAH series diaries, she describes Aphrodite as her "aunt," and also the other gods, such as Athena, Poseidon, and Apollo, and Hermes as her "cousin." In the diaries, she also mentions having an adoptive mother and siblings. In mythology, Eros had only one wife—Psyche—and only one child—Hedone. However, this was the kind of Eros who was the son of Aphrodite, and since she is described as his aunt, it is unlikely that Psyche is Cupid's adoptive mother, and that Hedone is his brother. The identity of the rest of his adoptive family, besides Eros, remains unclear.

Cupid has white skin (though it's pink in the specials) that turns black in the same way Spectra does to become transparent. She has short, wavy pink hair, which is shaped like a halo, and aqua eyes. She wears pink lipstick in the center of her lips to make her mouth look like a heart. Cupid's wings are made to resemble a ribcage with a spine visibly disguised as a necklace. In the specials, she has brown eyebrows, but in the webisodes, they are pink.

CA Cupid follows in her adoptive father's footsteps as an arbiter of love and specializes in relationships, but primarily those of monsters with a teen focus. She hosted a daily radio show from her station in the catacombs beneath Monster High, during which she addressed relationship problems. This was her way of doing her job, since she was (and still is) a terrible shot with her bow.

When it comes to attitude, Cupid is carefree and cheerful, as love should be, but also stern and professional as a relationship sometimes needs to survive.
