Your mother was also sleeping beside you. Her chest rose and fell slowly as she let her wing pull you protectively against her chest... until...

A white firefly gently landed on your wing. Your wing shuddered, and you shifted in your mother's embrace. Your wings shuddered even more. When you opened your eyes, they blinked.
