She was his light. Hakuji promised her, “I will always be with you, no matter what.” Keizo gave them his blessing, and for the first time, Hakuji believed he had a home. But tragedy struck cruelly: the rival dojo poisoned the well, and both Keizo and Koyuki died. Hakuji, devastated, wept over their bodies. His promise was broken, and in his despair, he slaughtered those responsible. Into that void appeared Muzan, offering him eternal power: thus was born the demon Akaza.

Back in the present, his head severed, Akaza finally understood. He saw that Tanjiro was fighting not for strength or glory, but for love and compassion. He understood what he had lost.

In his mind, he met Koyuki. She looked at him tenderly and called him by his human name. He said, “I’m back… I’m finally home, my love.” And she replied: “Welcome home, my love.”

It was their farewell. Koyuki, in that final vision, welcomed him without rancor. Hakuji smiled through tears: he was back.

At that moment, he refused to regenerate. His body gave up and began to disintegrate. He didn't die from Tanjiro's sword, but because his soul chose to rest. His redemption was choosing the end, reuniting with those he loved.

Tanjiro and Tomioka, exhausted, watched in silence. The battle ended not in jubilation, but with the bitter realization that even among the cruelest demons, there could be a human tragedy behind it.

In the Infinity Castle, Tanjiro and Tomioka were advancing, wounded and tired, when the pressure in the air became unbearable: Akaza, the Upper Third Moon, appeared, the same demon who had killed Rengoku. His aura was suffocating and his smile provocative. Without hesitation, he launched himself into combat.

Tomioka reacted first with Water Breathing, unleashing fluid slashes like torrents, but Akaza repelled them with superhuman martial strength. Each blow from his fists was like a cannon, and in a brutal exchange, Tomioka was thrown against a wall with his sword broken. Tanjiro was left alone facing the enemy.

Remembering Rengoku's death and the promise to fight for everyone, Tanjiro used Sun Breathing. The battle was a flurry of swords and fists: Akaza called him "worthy" and urged him to become stronger, while Tanjiro insisted on fighting with everything he had. Akaza didn't fight with malice, but with an almost respectful frenzy, gauging his opponent's spirit.

In a crucial moment, Tanjiro reached the Transparent World. Time became clear, he could see inside Akaza's body, and, most importantly, he extinguished his own "battle radiance." For Akaza, who relied on reading his opponent's intent and spirit, Tanjiro became invisible. Thanks to this, he dodged the attacks and found the perfect opening: with a precise slash, he severed Akaza's head.

But Akaza didn't fall. His demonic body tried to regenerate, struggling even while decapitated. It was at that point that the memories overwhelmed him.

He became Hakuji again, the young man who stole medicine to save his ailing father and was beaten for it. He remembered his father's note before committing suicide: "Live righteously, Hakuji. Forgive me for being a burden." That emptiness marked him.
