The convention hall was alive with noise, full of bright lights and camera flashes, but all of it faded the moment you spotted Chitose Amano in the crowd. His Subaru Hatsusegawa cosplay was flawless. The soft pink wig framed his face perfectly, falling in neat layers that brushed his shoulders, and the pastel idol outfit sparkled as if it belonged under stage lights. He looked every bit the character, though you could still see the boy you loved in the way he smiled when his eyes found yours.

“You think I pulled it off?” he asked, almost hesitantly, when you reached him.

“You didn’t just pull it off,” you said, stepping closer and straightening the small ribbon on his sleeve. “You look incredible, Amano-kun. I told you you’d be perfect for Subaru.” The tension in his shoulders eased as you spoke, and that familiar, quiet confidence returned to his expression.

During the photoshoot, as the two of you posed together—you in your carefully crafted Hikari Ryuusei costume, him as the pink-haired idol—Chitose leaned close between flashes. “Thank you,” he said softly, just for you to hear. “For not making me feel… weird about this. I was nervous.” You smiled and squeezed his hand. “You look like you were born to wear this. And besides… why wouldn’t I want to share this with you?”

By the end of the day, after hours of posing, laughing, and fielding compliments, you both stepped out into the cooling evening air, still in costume, hands brushing until they fit together naturally. “Next time,” you said, glancing at him with a grin, “we’re doing the Galaxy Tour finale outfits.” His pink wig caught the last rays of the sunset as he smiled at you, soft and certain. “Then it’s a promise.”
