Life Story (Part 3)
HUNTRIX's world tour closing show. HUNTRIX concluded its world tour with a highly successful finale. The group maintains a magical barrier called Honmoon, which is fueled by their performances—the energy of their music and the collective spirit of their fans strengthen the seal that keeps most demons out of the human world. However, Rumi faces a personal struggle: as she ages, the demonic markings on her body begin to spread. These patterns are a constant reminder of the part of herself she longs to erase. Rumi believes that if HUNTR/X can generate enough energy to create the prophesied Golden Honor Moon—a permanent seal—her demonic side will finally disappear.
Life Story (Part 2)
Rumi's marks gradually appearing on her body. Rumi was born with visible demonic markings on her skin, so Celine instructed her to keep them hidden and never reveal her half-demon nature. Celine believed that if Rumi dedicated herself to demon hunting and eventually invoked the ultimate barrier—the Golden Honor Moon—it could "purify" her, causing the markings to disappear. As a result, Rumi grew up believing that fulfilling her destiny as a hunter could make her completely human.
In her late teens or early twenties, Rumi helped Celine form HUNTR/X, a new K-pop demon-hunting trio consisting of Rumi and her two best friends, Mira and Zoey. As the group's leader and main vocalist, Rumi led HUNTR/X to enormous success, achieving global fame while secretly battling demons behind the scenes. By the time the film takes place, HUNTR/X are international superstars, filling stadiums and topping the music charts, as well as acting as seasoned demon hunters who have kept countless threats at bay.
Life Story (Part 1)
Young Rumi Rumi in his childhood. Rumi was born a cambion—a human-demon hybrid—the daughter of a famous K-pop idol who also fought demons and a demon father. Her mother, Mi-yeong Ryu, was part of the legendary girl group known as the Sunlight Sisters, the previous generation of demon hunters. During one of their missions, Mi-yeong unexpectedly fell in love with a demon, and their relationship led to Rumi's birth. However, Rumi never knew her parents: her mother died shortly after giving birth, and her father—whose identity remains unknown—was absent from her life.
Celine with Rumi, rejecting the classification of Rumi as a demon. Celine with Rumi, rejecting the classification of Rumi as a demon. After Mi-yeong's death, Rumi was taken in by Celine, Mi-yeong's best friend and also a Sunlight Sister. Celine became Rumi's adoptive mother and mentor, determined to honor Mi-yeong's legacy by training Rumi to become the next demon-hunting idol. Under Celine's guidance, Rumi was raised with equal focus on music and combat. From a young age, she underwent rigorous training in singing, dancing, and fighting, all to prepare her to lead a new group of idols who would continue the mission of the demon hunters. Celine also taught Rumi to hide her demonic origins for her own protection.
Personality (Part 5)
Early in the story, Rumi can also be tense and overly focused—always working, rarely relaxing. There are moments when she keeps the group on track and reprimands Mira and Zoey for getting into trouble. However, this rigid seriousness gradually softens as Rumi learns to open herself up and allow others to support her.
personality (part 4)
For example, she hides from Mira and Zoey her increasingly worsening vocal condition and the spreading demonic marks, enduring the pain in silence until she nearly faints. Her shame and anxiety also lead her to moments of intense insecurity. When she believes her demonic side has driven away the people she loves, Rumi's confident facade crumbles – she even calls herself "a mistake" in her lowest moment.
Rumi being comforted by Mira and Zoey Rumi received comfort from Mira and Zoey, who reaffirmed their presence by her side. Another flaw that emerges under pressure is Rumi's tendency towards recklessness and self-sacrifice. Feeling responsible for defeating Gwi-Ma, protecting everyone, and "fixing" her demon half, she sometimes acts impulsively without involving her team. For example, she secretly meets Jinu alone, a decision that backfires and leads her friends to confront her for not trusting them beforehand. Rumi also has a strong tendency towards stubborn independence—she prefers to face danger alone rather than risk others getting hurt. While noble, this mindset can isolate her. At one point, she even believes that dying might be better than causing harm to her friends, revealing how harshly she judges herself.
personality (part 2)
Rumi confronting her inner conflict alone. Rumi confronting her inner conflict, alone. For example, Rumi keeps her internal struggles with her demonic side hidden, not wanting to burden or endanger Mira and Zoey. She also fears being rejected by them if they knew the whole truth. Similarly, when HUNTR/X was about to break up—after Zoey and Mira were hypnotized along with the crowd, and the group discovered Rumi's secret of being half-demon—Rumi was prepared to confront Gwi-Ma alone. As an idol, Rumi radiates warmth and friendly charm to her fans and staff. She strives to be a source of inspiration and positivity and really enjoys interacting with her fans.
Demonic marks on Rumi from his childhood Demonic marks on Rumi from his childhood. Being half-demon has left Rumi with deeply ingrained insecurities and fears. Internally, she struggles with shame about her identity. For much of the story, she views her demonic side as a curse or a flaw, and this hidden burden causes her considerable emotional stress. She fears her friends will see her as a "monster" if they discover her secret. This fear makes Rumi somewhat reserved and emotionally distant at times. She has difficulty sharing her vulnerabilities, choosing to deal with problems alone rather than risk rejection or pity. As a result, she may appear overly stoic or withdrawn when something bothers her.
Personality (part 1)
Rumi's personality combines the power of a star with emotional depth. Externally, she appears confident, ambitious, and determined—characteristics expected of the leader of a high-profile K-pop group. She presents herself with grace and authority, often taking on the role of responsible leader and oldest member of HUNTR/X[2]. Rumi is deeply committed and hardworking, constantly striving and pushing her group to surpass themselves—whether mastering choreographies or battling demons.
Rumi performing despite his strained voice. Rumi performing as well as possible during the "Golden" rehearsal, despite her strained voice. Her motivation is fueled by personal goals and a sense of duty. She is determined to complete the Golden Honmoon, a lifelong mission to eliminate demonic threats and free herself from the burden of her own demonic marks. This intense focus can make her stubborn at times. For example, even when her voice was strained and her teammates urged her to rest, Rumi refused to slow down, unwilling to show weakness or deviate from the performance. As Mira observed during the visit to Healer Han for vocal treatments, Rumi's dedication to her mission can be so intense that she neglects self-care and forgets how to have fun.
First interview of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey marking the release of their new track, "Golden". Beneath Rumi's serious and driven exterior lies a deeply compassionate and altruistic nature. She genuinely cherishes her friends, fans, and loved ones. Rumi is constantly attentive to Mira and Zoey's well-being, often acting as a protective older sister, and openly expresses love and gratitude for her team. Her loyalty is profound—she is willing to risk her own happiness or safety to protect those she cares about.

Appearance
Rumi is a slender and athletic Korean woman, just over twenty years old. She has a heart-shaped face, large brown eyes, dark eyebrows, a small nose, and full lips. Her striking feature is her long, bright purple hair, usually tied in a thick, dragon-tail braid that reaches her calves. Although her skin is normally pale, she also inherits demonic purple patterns that glow pink whenever she is stressed. During these times, her irises also change from brown to gold, and her hands become claws. Overall, Rumi has a striking appearance that can be described as a "classic" Korean beauty.
Rumi is seen in a variety of outfits suited to different occasions. As an artist, she wears looks that blend contemporary K-pop fashion with subtle nods to traditional Korean aesthetics. Her stage costumes feature vibrant colors, patterned fabrics, and modern accessories, combined with bold makeup, such as eyeliner, mascara, and painted nails. When hunting demons, she wears more practical outfits, and in calmer moments, she is shown in casual attire.
For most of the time she appears on screen, Rumi deliberately chooses clothes that hide the demonic patterns on her body, especially on her arms and neck.
