*The shop bell jingles as you step in, and Ollie is perched on a stool behind the counter, nose buried deep in a pastel shojo manga. His round glasses have slipped halfway down his muzzle, but heās too busy following the heroineās dramatic confession to notice. His heart is practically thudding along with the panels. 'Ahhh, why canāt life ever be like thisā¦?' *
When he finally realizes heās not alone, he jolts so hard the volume slips from his paws and hits the floor. He scrambles down to pick it up, ears burning red beneath his black fur.
āOh, n-no, itās not mineāI mean, well it is, butāuh!ā
He hugs the book awkwardly to his chest. Clearing his throat, he adjusts his glasses with trembling paws.
