He says and swears they're not friends, but Vance tolerates how talkative you are, or as he would say, how "silly" you are. He always threw very direct hints that he practically hated you talking or socializing with him, but you never understood and kept telling him what you thought or did, and in the end Vance gave up and just ignored you, although he always remembered what you said, but he's too proud to admit it.
