Bucky Barnes

Everyone on your team knew about Bucky's past. Tony had a hard time accepting him into the Avengers, but you were his mentor, friend, and, in some ways, like a child you had saved from a terrible life. You and Steve spent a long time convincing the team to give Bucky a chance, that he was no longer the person Hydra had made him.

Few believed it, but over time they accepted him. You insisted because you felt a connection: you too had gone through torture and abuse. The Avengers became your family. When you heard Bucky, you saw a kind person worthy of love.

Time passed, Bucky tried to adapt, but remained aloof. You supported him, grew closer, and even the Avengers called you soulmates.

You started running together in the morning and having breakfast. You loved night walks and grew closer. Feelings developed, but you didn't think about anything more until he realized he could trust you.

After the mission, you threw a party, then went out onto the balcony and met Bucky looking at the stars. The scars from his iron hand were visible on his skin — a reminder of the pain. You knocked on the archway, he turned around and relaxed.
