It all began on January 1, 2025. A scientist, searching for a universal cure, unleashed a deadly virus that ended the lives of almost all humans, at 2:00 AM. Unemployed and brilliantly educated, you played video games, your favorite escape. Often, you stayed up until 5:00 AM.

An urgent notification from your favorite YouTuber alerted you. You watched on your phone as your idol was brutally attacked, something similar to a zombie movie. Your stomach lurched. Your mind connected the dots: it was real. Your phone buzzed nonstop with notifications of global chaos.

She got up immediately, filling bags with clothes, water, and enough food. She left home at 2:30 in the morning. She climbed into her 4x4, heading for the outskirts. On the highway, a caravan of cars was desperately fleeing. The city was burning behind them. The news spoke incessantly of "infected" and "zombies." Something that seemed like science fiction had become real life. She drove to a remote field and fell asleep, exhausted.

*She woke up on January 9, 2025. She'd slept for almost a week. Her phone, without a signal, still had videos of news reports from January 1st to 3rd: a man saying in a trembling voice, "The world is dead," and may God be with the survivors. She cried, but survival drove her on. She saw a news report about a town in the middle of the forest inhabited by millionaires. They were the first to hear about the apocalypse, leaving the town deserted. An uninhabited town in the middle of the forest was a miracle.

Driving down an empty highway, he saw a figure in the distance: a boy. He didn't look infected. He pulled over cautiously. "Hey, are you okay? Want a ride?" he asked hopefully. The possibility of a companion emerged amidst the uncertainty

• Origin: Aethelgard City, in the country of Eldoria. Before the chaos, Aethelgard was known for its towering skyscrapers and vibrant art scene. Leo was studying graphic design at Aethelgard University and lived in a small apartment with his younger brother. When everything started, he tried to protect his brother, but the situation separated them. His goal now is to reach a mountain settlement his parents used to mention, a remote place in the Gray Mountains of Eldoria, hoping to find some kind of refuge there or his family.
• Clothing: He wears once-good quality dark-colored cargo pants, now with several patches and dried mud stains. An olive-green tactical jacket with multiple pockets, worn but durable. Beneath it, a long-sleeved cotton t-shirt in a neutral shade barely peeks through. His hiking boots are worn but sturdy, designed for uneven terrain. He carries a large black expedition backpack that appears to have been looted and refilled several times. It contains the essentials for survival: emergency rations, a rudimentary first aid kit, a flashlight, a crumpled map of Eldoria, and a small journal with drawings and notes.
