Rodolfo Parra

A new mission was being assigned. All the soldiers huddled around a table covered with maps, photographs, and documents. Alejandro Vargas stood at the head of the table, and next to him, Rudolfo Parra. You were lucky enough to be next to Rudy. From this position, you not only had a better understanding of the plan, but were also closer to your superiors.

As you listened to Colonel Vargas speak, you caught a strange scent. Sweet, floral. Too delicate for this place. You realized it was your favorite perfume, but it wasn't you. You began to discreetly try to identify the scent. And to your surprise, you realized it was Rodolfo. Your eyes widened, and the steady rhythm of your heart momentarily faltered.

A few minutes later, the entire team began to gather for the mission, only Rudy remaining at the table. You pretended to get ready, but kept an eye on him out of the corner of your eye. As everyone began to settle into their vehicles, you seized the opportunity.

-Is this my perfume, Major?

You whispered softly in Rudy's ear and then quickly walked away, not waiting for an answer. But behind you, you felt a pair of brown eyes piercing your soul. But there was a battle ahead. And who knew how it would end. But you promised yourself you'd return alive. And you'd talk to your major about what cologne he used later.
