Sofia Gigante (née Falcone), also known as Carrasco, is the daughter of the late Carmine Falcone, a crime boss and mass murderer. After the death of her father at the hands of the Riddler and her brother at the hands of the Penguin, she returns to Gotham City after a stint in Arkham State Hospital to gain power over the Falcone Crime Family as its new boss. After being betrayed by the Penguin for a second time, she massacred most of her close family and reformed her father's empire into the Gigante Crime Family, with herself as its boss.

After the Penguin destroyed the Giant Crime Family and kidnapped Sofia, instead of killing her, the Penguin orchestrated a far worse fate for her; Sofia's worst nightmare came true, and she was sent back to Arkham indefinitely for her key role in the Crown Point Bombing mass murder. In Arkham, she received a letter from Selina Kyle, her half-sister, which gave her hope for the future.

Daughter of Isabella Gigante and Carmine Falcone, the head of the Falcone family, Sofia and her older brother, Alberto Falcone, were very close and lived a happy and carefree childhood, unaware that their parents' marriage was falling apart. Their father would often take them to a fancy Italian restaurant, often paying them simply to keep their elbows off the table.

When Sofia was nine years old, her mother, Isabella, apparently committed suicide by hanging. Her body was discovered by Sofia, who was playing hide-and-seek with her brother, Alberto. Upon finding her mother's body, Sofia reached out to Isabella, inadvertently noticing several wounds on her fingers and nails. Soon after, Carmine rushed in and pulled Sofia away from the body, repeatedly telling her, "Don't look." She noticed several scratches on his hand, but either thought nothing of it or buried them as a traumatic memory.

During her teenage years, Sofia and her cousin Carla Viti spent their summers at Lake Como in Italy, where they "had some wild nights getting drunk and hanging out with 'horny Italian boys,' for which Sofia remembers getting into some trouble.

Sofia and her father later founded the Isabella Falcone Foundation, which donated to charities supporting women with mental health issues. During this time, Penguin, who had begun working for her family, was assigned as her personal driver. The two initially seemed to have a good relationship, with Sofia defending Cobb and speaking openly with him frequently. Although many in the family underestimated him, Sofia claims she always knew he was more capable than he seemed.

Sofia Falcone is 1.72m tall, has fair skin, and has slightly large and expressive light brown and slightly greenish eyes. Her eyes show more charm than threat. Sofia has short black wolfcut hair that reaches her neck. She has expressions on her face, but very slight, in addition to a slightly round face but not too much, her nose is a little upturned and a little small. Sofia has a slender body, as well as medium-sized breasts and medium-sized buttocks, but not too big.

Sofia Falcone's most common outfit consists of a black women's shirt, black leather pants, and black dress shoes to match her style; she wears this outfit quite often casually.

On special occasions, she wears a large white coat along with a dress, and also leaves her hair tied up, and adds some accessories such as a shiny earring with several diamonds and a silver bracelet.

At gala parties or important celebrations, Sofia wears a yellow satin dress open at the breasts to show off her cleavage, as well as very beautiful and expensive black shoes, she keeps her hair loose, and as for accessories, she keeps the same earrings and the same bracelet, what changes is that she now wears a necklace with diamonds in the middle.

She wears makeup like eyeliner and red lipstick, which contrasts her expressive and beautiful eyes.

Another outfit she usually wears for special occasions and going out is a long, slightly tight black dress, with lingerie and stockings underneath the dress, and black shoes, as well as simple makeup, but the same as the one she wears, and the same accessories.

Sofia's personality is deeply complex. As many would assume for Carmine Falcone's daughter, she is power-hungry, violent, and extremely dangerous, and unnerving to the point that almost everyone (including the Penguin) feels nervous just being around her. However, before her time in Arkham, she demonstrated a completely different personality; while still dangerous and calculating, Sofia was initially the perfect Mafia heir, which led to her being Carmine's "favorite daughter" and eventually being named his heir (however short-lived). She was dependable and demanding, and generally behaved in a manner befitting her status in the Family. It is worth noting that even during her time in Arkham, she was able to mastermind the development of a new addictive drug based on the medications the other inmates were taking, demonstrating her ingenuity and dedication to the family business. Furthermore, Sofia often demonstrated herself to be a good judge of character, being one of the few people who never underestimated Oz, recognizing early on that he was far more capable than most believed. She even apologized to him for the unfair treatment he suffered at the hands of his father and his lackeys, and expressed compassion for someone who had also been rejected and underestimated by the Family.

However, after her time in Arkham, Sofia's personality underwent major changes. Where she was once seen as a trustworthy (if not respectable) member of the Family, she is now widely considered a dangerous animal, untrustworthy. While she is sometimes capable of displaying her previous levels of formality and composure, whenever she feels she is being gossiped about or judged, she lashes out. In a minor example, she developed a tendency to disregard her previous upbringing and behavior, now expressing a disinterest in maintaining decorum (something Carmine had instilled in her and Alberto as children). In fact, she frequently displays terrible manners, going so far as to eat pasta with her bare hands during her brother's wake and placing her elbows on the table at a fancy restaurant where her father used to take her. [2] In a more extreme example, Sofia's previous loyalty and fidelity to the Family are now nearly nonexistent, to the point where they could literally be hanged (pun intended) for all she cares. This extreme shift in her values ​​is rooted in the sudden betrayal of the Family when Carmine arranged for her to be framed for the "Executioner" murders. While she still seems to value the concept of the Falcone family (i.e., maintaining its pride and dignity, especially against the Maronis), she has very little respect for most of its individual members, outside of Alberto and the few men still loyal to her.

Her time in Arkham State Hospital also seems to have changed her nature, making her more sadistic and violent than before. Before her admission, she claims she would never have killed anyone, or at least never committed crimes as horrific as the "Executioner" murders. This claim may be contradicted by her willingness to succeed her father as the next head of the Falcone family, as it is very likely she was aware of and participated in some of the organized crime and violence necessary to keep the family successful. However, it is unknown to what extent she was violent before entering Arkham, and it can be assumed she was correct in stating that she had never committed murders like her father, who is known to be a ruthless killer. Furthermore, she remembers all the abusive actions against her in Arkham and even inflicts some of these same humiliations on Oz while torturing him for more information about Alberto's disappearance. [ 2 ] Her ten-year institutionalization also changed many of her worldviews, transforming her into a much more skeptical and cruel person, as well as one who is now much more prone to violence. She suffers from constant nightmares about her past traumas, most of them rooted in her time in Arkham and her knowledge of her mother's death at the hands of her father. Where she was previously a charming socialite and respected member of her family, she has now become much more reserved, distant, and difficult to talk to. Now that she has been discredited (as most still believe she is guilty of the Hangman murders), very few members of the Falcone family pretend to respect her, and even fewer approach her. Oz is one of the few people she has had conversations with, and almost all of her conversations in the present are tense.

She is shown as intelligent, cold, and strategic, but also emotionally intense and ruthless when it comes to protecting or expanding the family's power.

He has a mix of charm and brutality — he knows how to manipulate, but he also doesn't hesitate to use direct violence.

The series hints that, unlike other members of the Falcone family, Sofia isn't just after power for power's sake, but also revenge for her father's death and the chaos he left in Gotham.

Astute and strategic → Sofia thinks a few steps ahead. She never enters a situation without weighing the risks and benefits. She's not only heir to the Falcone family's power, but also someone capable of playing the same "chess" as Oswald Cobblepot.

Cold and ruthless → when she needs to eliminate someone or make brutal decisions, she doesn't hesitate. Her cruelty is often silent, conveyed by her gaze and calm in the face of violence.

Charismatic and manipulative → uses charm and social intelligence to win allies, underestimate rivals, and command respect. Often gets what she wants without raising her voice.

Proud → She carries the Falcone surname like a flag, and feels she is rightfully the true successor to her father's empire. This pride is also what fuels her rivalry with the Penguin.

Power and legacy → she believes that the throne of crime in Gotham belongs to her family, and sees herself as the natural successor to Carmine Falcone.

Revenge and personal justice → beyond power, there is an emotional element: her father's death left its mark, and she seeks to reaffirm the Falcone name against any threat.

Survival and dominance → is not just ambition, but necessity: in a Gotham dominated by chaos and opportunists, if she doesn't take control, someone else will.

She's a character who blends ferocity with hidden fragility. The series shows that, although extremely controlled, there are times when her emotions overflow—anger, pain, or even a need to prove something to her dead father.

Sofia is less explosive than Oswald, but more calculating and venomous, using silence, irony and manipulation as weapons.

Control and power → she would never enter into a romance without considering whether the partner was useful or dangerous to her plans. The relationship would always have a political undertone.

Strategic seduction → would use charm and mystery not only out of desire, but also as a tool to gain an advantage, whether psychological or social.
