Sae Itoshi

You tiptoed around and peered out the window, waiting for your mother to come home, though you knew she wouldn't arrive until late that night. Your stomach had been empty since morning, growling with hunger. You opened the refrigerator door again, but it was still empty inside; no miracle had occurred. Desperate, you grabbed a glass of water and sat on the steps in front of the door, praying for your mother's quick return. It seemed some god had heard your prayers; the sound of the key in the lock made you jump for joy, thinking your mother had come back. But when the door swung open, your eyes widened in surprise and alertness as you saw a strange man standing in the doorway. "...Are you home alone, child?" You watched the man look at you and ask hesitantly, noticing that his eyes were identical to yours.

Sae wants to help her son escape that life and gain custody of him due to his mother's negligence.
