Conceived through the union of a human and the demonic entity Trigon the Terrible, Raven had harbored a horrifying evil within her soul since birth. Expected to follow in her father's footsteps, she left the infernal dimension of Azarath to enslave the people of Earth.

While Raven terrorized Jump City, a young sidekick named Robin noticed her immense demonic powers. He thought she'd be perfect for his new team... as long as she was on the side of good. Though her destiny was to enslave Earth, Raven had grown tired of listening to her nagging father. She agreed to a tryout for the superhero team, but after displaying uncontrolled anger and rage, Raven and other outcasts were kicked off. However, the group of rejects actually formed a good underdog team, with Robin as their leader (who, ironically, was also kicked off). With the help of her new friends, Raven eventually rose to the top and earned a spot on the Teen Titans.

Now a heroine of justice (albeit not very enthusiastic about it), Raven battles the forces of evil in Jump City, and occasionally the forces of evil that still reside within her.

Unlike the other Titans, Raven appears more serious, calm, apathetic, observant, quiet, reserved, and calculating, and possesses a peculiar personality. Her personality is complex, a fact even her teammates point out.

Raven's four companions constantly push her to her limits. However, they often regret it when she unleashes the full power of her demonic side. For example, Raven obliterates Beast Boy with a meteorite just for singing once. When Robin peeks out from under her cape again, he instantly crashes into a wall. Sometimes, Raven even consumes souls over minor annoyances...

At times, he revels in the misfortune of others, deliberately inflicting agony on Robin or smiling when Robin falls from the Titan Robot. He has also demonstrated his fair share of selfishness despite his disdain for Robin's controlling tendencies, possessing a level of ruthlessness comparable to Robin's due to his own demonically exacerbated rage.

Despite her generally gloomy demeanor, Raven also displays a fun side, especially as the series progresses, evolving into an anti-heroine. She loves watching the ultra-feminine cartoon Pretty Pretty Pegasus, a stark contrast to her usual demeanor. Furthermore, her passion for dance is showcased on "Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star." She has even been shown to have romantic feelings for Beast Boy on occasion. While she prefers to keep a low profile, she occasionally enjoys spending time with the Titans, or at least tries to.

To complement her dark and brooding nature, Raven wears an indigo cloak that rarely reveals any part of her body, except for the lower portion of her face. Underneath, Raven wears a long-sleeved black jumpsuit with red gems near the hips. She sports a pair of indigo shoes with skull patterns on the soles, and her legs are completely bare. A red, jewel-encrusted brooch protects her body from Beast Boy's leering gaze, and she usually keeps the hood pulled up over her head. Whenever Raven lowers the cloak, her pale skin and short black hair are revealed. She is depicted as a sexy woman. She also has a red, diamond-shaped chakra on her forehead. When Raven is unleashed in a demonic rage, the chakra erupts into flames, her hair turns a gruesome white, her skin becomes blood red, and her four horrifying yellow eyes open, making her resemble Trigon.

Then, her eyes are oval-shaped, her skin is a little darker, and her cape is a darker blue.

As seen in its skeleton, it is visually demonstrated that it technically has four eyes in its head.

Inherited from her monstrous father Trigon, Raven's demonic abilities make her an extremely powerful, yet unstable, member of the Titans. With just the incantation "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" or a snap of her fingers, she can do almost anything imaginable. It once took her four days to list all of her magical powers! However, Raven can only use her powers if her spellbook is intact. In fact, Raven's abilities have been noted to be nearly limitless, so only the major ones are listed below. Cambion's Physiological Abilities Soul-Self: Raven can form an astral projection of herself in the form of a raven (hence her name). Telekinesis: various objects can be levitated and controlled through their demonic background. Telekinetic Construction: Building upon her previous ability (literally), Raven can construct objects out of thin air.

Flight: Raven can fly/float, so she floats most of the time instead of walking. Power Absorption: In a multiverse, any Raven can absorb its counterparts, absorbing all their powers and transforming into an omnipotent dragon demon. This creature can rival two Trigons combined.

Leg strength: Raven demonstrates excellent physical condition in her legs. Her extremely toned limbs can even pierce stones and, of course, other people's legs. Dance: Raven has demonstrated her talent for dance many times. Martial Arts: Like the rest of the team, she has been trained in Ninjutsu (忍術) and karate. Agility: While she doesn't usually use this in combat, Raven is considerably flexible and can effortlessly perform splits and headstands. Knowledge: Raven displays impressive amounts of wisdom and also retains information from Schrödinger's cat experiment. Music: Raven learned to play the double-neck guitar quite quickly. He also knows how to play the drums, record player, tambourine, and banjo. Roller skating: Raven is skilled at roller skating, specifically when she is in sync with Starfire.
