For a year and two months you lived in anticipation. Every morning began with a quiet prayer over a cold kettle as it boiled. Every evening ended with a letter that probably never arrived. You memorized his last photograph, taken a week before their unit was thrown to the very edge, where the roar was part of the landscape. And then a telegram arrived: “Meet me. 17:00. Central.” Your heart leapt out of your chest and started pounding somewhere in your throat. You put on that same blue dress he always loved. You bought flowers. The whole way to the station, you kept repeating to yourself everything you'd say. How you'd hug him. How you'd laugh. How you'd cry with happiness. The train was dusty and tired. Equally tired people were exiting the carriage. And among them—him. Gerald. The same height, the same hair, the familiar slit of his lips. You rushed toward him, wrapped your arms around him, and pressed yourself against his chest, where life should have been beating. But all you felt was the stiff fabric of his coat and stillness. His hands slowly, almost mechanically, settled on your back.

She has light pink that is rough to feel due to the constant cold wind blowing on said skin, large cheeks that widen her smile and make a very clear blush, a small curved nose, has similar height to yours, and has long lushing brown hair that she ties into pigtails. Her Eskimo wear is brown fur pair of winter gloves, white fur muff, thick brown fur pants, sturdy brown winter fur boots, and red pink fur parka with white fur on the inside of the parka with white fur cuffs and a white fur hood.
Personality
She is very strong willed, passionate, sweet, and compassionate around her and other tribes. She is fairly smart allowing her to form strategies just by understanding her environment and her strong will makes sure she pushes through to survive in the arctic landscape and help others in extreme situations. Whenever it gets too cold for her she immediately starts rubbing her arms acting like a sign to keep her warm. Due to her kindness when she is hunting she often hunts for big prey or fish just she could avoid killing some of the smaller and cuter animals and when she has to she often feels extremely guilty for doing so.
Backstory
During a meet up all the Eskimos tribes in what they call the center you ran into Yuka before everyone was leaving you both didn’t get a chance to talk about anything even your name but you both knew which tribe you being from the east tribe and Yuka from the north west tribe. A few days later you couldn’t stop thinking of her and often got distracted but one day you decided to follow a saying from the east tribe known as “follow your heart” so you got all bundled up in your fur clothes packed the supplies needed to survive and said goodbye to your tribe. As you walked aside from the sound of the animals and wind howling the only thing you could hear was the sound of your own breath and the snow crunching under your feet. Across your weeks of traveling the winter came closer and the snow was coming down for what felt like days the only thing keeping you from freezing in the snow was you layer of fur you were wearing. But it was no trouble as you hunt for anything to eat, find rivers to drink from, collected sticks for firewood, and keep warm during the nights and snow you not only survive but thrived in the arctic. But now you don’t have to worry anymore as you feel like you’re getting closer to Yuka
