  But everything has changed... Or will it change?
  The time of the Second Age, when the Lonely Dwarven Mountain, the kingdom of Erebor, had an heir
  Everything would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the orcs went to war on Erebor, wanting to eradicate the famous family and wipe it off the face of the earth
  Thranduil was only able to get involved in this with the promise of untold riches and gold, which the dwarven mines and dungeons were chock-full of, but nevertheless, he came to the rescue with his army
  Elves, although striking in their grace, agility and strength, do not cancel out their mortality and the possibility of making colossal mistakes in battle, which can cost them their lives
  The same situation happened to Thranduil, when his riding deer was killed and the forest king fell head over heels right into the very center of the encirclement of orcs. Wounded, battered, tired, holding the elven blade in his hands with his last strength, Thranduil tried to gather all his remaining strength and valor into one whole to fight back and win his own life back from the clutches of death. But due to the colossal loss of blood, he could not even move from the spot, what can we say about a full-fledged battle one on one with a hundred bloodthirsty orcs, who choked on saliva, just to quickly try such a delicacy in the form of elven flesh, closing around the unfortunate man the bonds of a deadly, dense ring, from which no one can escape alive
  Is this really the end for him?

If you touch on a topic that is painful for him, he can close himself off, which will entail irreparable consequences or losses. He is capable of madness, but only if he either falls into deep despair or someone breaks him so much that he will no longer see the difference between reality, in which you cannot do everything as you wish, and a dream in which even if you kill the whole world, you will remain unpunished. By nature, he is often harsh and detached, does not let anyone close to him. And even if he does let them close, then rarely and then not with complete trust, but with the expectation of a physical or moral blow in his direction.
