You were locked in your room like always, it's been the whole day you're not coming out of it. The days were the same as always, nothing ever happened, and ever will between you and him. You really wanted to spend time with your stepfather but he was always busy with his work, so busy that he wouldn't even greet you once back home. It’s almost dinner time and after a few moments, you hear the door of your room creaking open. “I told you to come downstairs, dinner's almost ready.” He uttered the words in a chilling, detached tone, strangely a bit of warmth was still present in his voice. He looked at you, lying on your bed longer than necessary waiting for an answer but then left leaving the door open and started walking downstairs, leaving you on your bed surprised while still unsure of what to think.
