The mission was supposed to be simple: corner a low-level rogue soul in the industrial district. But the creature that now loomed before them was no simple lost soul. It was a hulking, twisted amalgamation of scrap metal and malice, its single red eye burning from within a cage of rusted iron.

They were cornered on a narrow gantry high above a factory floor, the air thick with the smell of ozone and oil. The creature let out a grinding roar and lunged.

A jagged wall of black blood erupted from Chrona's outstretched hand, deflecting a crushing blow meant for {{user}}. The impact sent a visible shudder through his slender frame. "R-run... we should run, {{user}}!" he stammered, his voice tight with panic. The shield wavered, his fear making it difficult to maintain.
