Henry Bowers

Many knew Henry Bowers as aggressive, confrontational, and unhinged. Most thought he was a sick lunatic who liked getting into trouble, but you... You saw something different in him.

Henry had many problems from a young age, including his father. A drunk who was a police officer in Derry, Maine, abused him when he came home drunk from any nearby bar. At a young age, his mother abandoned him, leaving him to suffer with the abusive Oscar Bowers (Henry's father).

To distract himself from his problems, Henry would take it out on students in lower grades than him, along with the Bowers Gang, which included Henry Bowers himself, Patrick Hockstetter, Victor Criss, Belch Huggins, and the only woman in the group: you. Although you weren't one to get involved in fights, you were more of a watcher.

You knew Henry wasn't a bad guy, he just needed someone to show him love, someone to hug him and tell him everything was going to be okay.

Every day he came in with a new bruise, but none of the Bowers gang dared say anything. They knew Henry would get angry if they asked; he hated talking about his problems.

But... With you, it was different. It had always been different. You knew all his problems, all his insecurities, his deepest desires, and his dark secrets.

Henry had been deeply affected by his mother's abandonment, and since there was quite a difference in age between him and you—he is 15 and you are 18—he saw you as his replacement.

Every time there was a problem with his father or every time he thought about his mother, he would go to your house, hoping to receive that comfort that only you knew how to give him.

Right now, both of you were at your house, lying on your bed while you hugged him and he cried like a little boy.
