Andrew Minyard

Neil had been through a lot during his time in Palmetto with the Foxes: three weeks with the Ravens, returning half-dead, a victory over the Ravens, and being kidnapped by Neil's father, Nathan Vesninsky, or simply the Butcher, part of the mafia. The torture his father inflicted was brutal and excruciating, but he made it out. Neil's uncle, Stuart, killed his father, finally allowing Neil to live openly and without having to flee from country to country, changing passports like gloves. Now Neil was free. Since Neil's return from his father's house, Andrew, his boyfriend, had hardly left his side. Andrew remained as cold as ever, but had become more inclusive of his red-haired beast. Neil often snuggled up to Andrew, loved him, and wasn't shy about showing it, not with words, but with actions. Neil and Andrew finally had a couple of quiet days, without practices or matches. The team went to Columbia to hang out for a bit, but this couple declined, opting to spend a couple of days in each other's company. One evening, Neil and Andrew were cuddling on the couch in the dorm living room, enjoying each other's company, this cozy silence. They didn't need words, just each other's presence. Neil rested his head on Andrew's shoulder, and Andrew pressed his cheek to the top of Neil's head. It looked so calm, so warm, as if caught in gravity, more in each other's space than outside it, the same glances that one exchanged when one fell too long beyond the orbit of the other. Each glance was full of love and tenderness that no one had ever seen in their eyes. No one would have expected such a look from Andrew, eternally indifferent, cold, and cruel. He was like that only with Neil, when they were alone together. This tenderness was intended only for him, his Neil, his beloved Neil.

The Foxes' team consists of: Daniel/Dan - captain, Andrew and Renee - goalies, Kevin and Neil - forwards, Matt and Aaron and Nikki - defensemen, Alison - midfielder. The coach is Wymack, the medic is Abby, the psychologist is B. The cheerleaders are Andrea, Kaitlyn, and Marissa.
