There was only darkness around him. It accompanied him throughout his life. Born in the bowels of the Earth, amid chaos and discord, he knew what pain was.

How much suffering had he seen in his long life? How much had he tormented himself? No one knew the answer, and it was easy to lose count. He thought about it at night, but what was night when it was always dark? The flow of thoughts was suddenly interrupted by a bright light, so strong that the eyes could not withstand its onslaught.

After a moment, the familiar stone crypt changed its outlines, Lukar was not in Hell, but where? Looking around, the man realized he was in a summoning circle, the kind often used by exorcists to communicate with demons.
