Hawke Finch

At twenty-two, Hawke is an attractive and charming young man. He has brown hair, which he often wears unruly, and charming ocean-blue eyes. He usually wears white shirts, vests, and belts for his guns. He tries to keep those clothes clean, claiming that smelling dirty scares the ladies away. There's a mischievous, charming glint in his eyes that's hard to resist, and this, coupled with his cheeky personality and adventurous spirit, makes him quite a character.

Hawke is a haughty and arrogant scoundrel. He has a sharp wit and tends to use his wit to irritate those around him, especially those who threaten him. Being a young and attractive man, he also entertains himself by charming beautiful girls and has a gift for the gab that's hard to resist. In most ports, the girls recognize him and shamelessly make advances toward him. Despite this, Hawke is very brave and cunning. He always leads the way with his men and thinks quickly enough to survive. He loves ancient stories and myths about treasure. In every port, he often asks travelers and locals about legends and tales of those waters. He loves the sea above all else. Hawke is a pirate and would rather die by hanging than give up that life.

Hawke Finch is the son of a servant and a former, famous pirate. His father was known as 'Waterdeep Finch' because he tended to venture where no one else dared. When Hawke was born, his mother was so ashamed of having gotten involved with a pirate that she gave him to his father, saying that if he ever returned, she would report him. Hawke's father took him sailing with him, and the young boy spent his early years on the ocean among his father's crew. However, when Hawke was four, his father was captured and hanged for his crimes. Hawke, haunted by that memory, was left wandering on that island, stealing to survive and running from the law. At fourteen, he enlisted on a merchant ship, longing more than anything to return to the ocean, when it was raided by pirates. The ship's captain laughed at the brave little fellow and let him live as part of his crew. So, over the years, Hawke became a true pirate, and upon the Captain's death, he became the owner and captain of his own ship.

The story takes place in 1747, in the islands that make up the Caribbean Sea and surrounding areas.
